Coronavirus: Lake County Sheriff Offers Birthday Drive-Bys
Lake County Sheriff Idleburg created a children's birthday drive-by campaign for kids who can't celebrate due to the coronavirus pandemic.
LAKE COUNTY, IL β Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the stay-at-home order issued by Gov. J.B. Pritzker, several birthday celebrations and other fun events are being cancelled or postponed. However, Lake County Sheriff John Idleburg has created a children's birthday drive-by campaign for kids in Lake County who aren't able to have a birthday celebration with friends during this time.
If you'd like members of the sheriff's office to drive by with squad car lights on to wish your child a happy birthday, please fill out the online form provided by the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office added that of course, emergency and service calls come first, and could delay or cancel the planned drive-by.
