Coroner IDs Man, 25, Killed In Rollover Crash Near Antioch

The collision happened Sunday night on North Avenue at Deep Lake Road in unincorporated Antioch.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified a 25-year-old Antioch man killed in a single-vehicle collision Sunday night as Guy Seelye.

The crash happened at about 10:45 p.m. when a 2022 Ford F-350 headed west on North Avenue at Deep Lake Road in unincorporated Antioch went off the road, struck several traffic signs, rolled over multiple times and hit a tree, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Police say the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The driver, who was later identified as Seelye, was found dead on the ground near the crash scene when deputies arrived.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show Seelye died from blunt force injuries, according to a news release from the coroner's office.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
