Coroner IDs Man Whose Body Was Found In Ditch In Antioch
The 46-year-old man has been identified as William Webster 46, of Lake Villa.
ANTIOCH, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified a 46-year-old man who was found dead in a ditch near a motorcycle in Antioch Wednesday morning as William Webster of Lake Villa.
Preliminary results from an autopsy show Webster did not suffer any significant injuries, according to a news release from the coroner's office. Final autopsy results are pending toxicology studies.
Webster's body was found in the brush near the area of Deep Lake Road and Route 173 at about 6 a.m., with a motorcycle about 40 feet away, according to a news release from the police department. Police say the motorcycle appears to have sustained some sort of mechanical failure.

The Lake County Coroner's Office responded to the area and did not find any outward signs of foul play, according to a news release.
The incident remains under investigation by Antioch Police Detectives and the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Anyone who was in the area and believes they may have additional information should call the Antioch Police dispatch center at 847-270-9111 or email crime@antioch.il.gov.
