Coroner IDs Mundelein Woman Killed After Being Hit By Truck
The 33-year-old woman died after being hit by the truck in the area of Delany Road and Sunset Avenue in Gurnee Wednesday night.
GURNEE, IL — A 33-year-old Mundelein woman killed after she was hit by a truck in Gurnee Wednesday night has been identified.
Preliminary results from an autopsy show Amber Knowles died from blunt force injuries as a result of a crash, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner's Office.
Knowles was hit by a Ford E450 in the area of Delany Road and Sunset Avenue in Gurnee at about 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to authorities. When emergency personnel arrived, Knowles was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
