Dense Fog, Slick Roadways Possible Monday Morning

LAKE AND MCHENRY COUNTIES, IL — A dense fog advisory has been issued for Lake and McHenry counties Monday morning.

The dense fog advisory will be in effect until 10 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Drivers should expect visibility of 1/4-mile or less, which could lead to hazardous driving conditions.

In addition, freezing fog may create slick roadways on elevated or untreated surfaces, according to the National Weather Service.

Local residents are reminding to drive slow, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.
