Family Focused On Surviving Brother's Recovery After Younger Siblings Killed
Two brothers, ages 11 and 16 years old, were killed in the Lindenhurst collision. A third has been hospitalized in critical condition.
LINDENHURST, IL — Funeral services for two brothers killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash last week in Lindenhurst have not yet been set as their family focuses on their older brother's recovery and do not "want to hold anything without his presence."
Anthony Tiscareno, 16, and Alonso Tiscareno, 11, died in the Friday crash in the 1700 block of Grand Avenue in Lindenhurst. Their brother, Adrian, was critically injured in the crash, according to officials and family members.
The boys' aunt, Maria Espinoza, said her family is devastated, according to a GoFundMe set up to help pay for funeral and medical costs. As of Wednesday morning, the fundraiser has brought in more than $28,000.

"It is with extreme sadness to share that our family is facing a tragedy involving three of my nephews," she wrote Saturday on the GoFundMe page. "They were in a car accident ... that resulted in two deceased and one in critical condition."
On Tuesday, she said her family is focused on her surviving nephew's recovery and has not yet set up funeral services for Anthony Tiscareno and Alonso Tiscareno.

"For now, we still don’t have further information on the services. Adrian’s recovery is our priority, and we do not want to hold anything without his presence," she wrote.
Adrian's younger brothers, who are both from Wadsworth, died in the crash in the 1700 block of Grand Avenue in Lindenhurst Friday night. Two other occupants in the vehicle, a 20-year-old Zion man and a 20-year-old Beach Park man, are still hospitalized, authorities said Monday.
One of the men seriously injured in the collision was the older brother of Anthony and Alonso Tiscareno, Stephen Newton, chief deputy coroner with the Lake County Coroner's Office, told Patch in an email response.
A fourth person in the car, Marco Juarez Garcia, remained hospitalized and in the intensive care unit, according to Carmen Salazar, a Zion woman who set up the GoFundMe fundraiser for Garcia and his family. It's unclear what Garcia's relationship is to the two brothers killed in the crash and the third who was also injured.
"This horrific accident included the deaths of two brothers and one additionally in hospital care," Garcia wrote. "Marco as the passenger has suffered an extensive amount of injuries which still has him under ICU care."
Since the collision, Garcia has undergone surgeries and has not regained consciousness, Garcia wrote in recent days.
"His doctors are taking it step by step as his condition is still delicate," she said.
She referred to Garcia as a caring, kind-hearted and loving person and noted all funds raised through the GoFundMe would go toward his medical bills and provide relief for him "during this difficult time."
As of Wednesday morning, the GoFundMe has brought in more than $6,100. Those wishing to donate can do so here.
