GRAYSLAKE, IL — Anyone planning on heading to downtown Grayslake this summer may get some peace of mind when it comes to where they'll park thanks to the owner of a new Center Street restaurant, First Draft Grayslake. The Daily Herald reports that owner Tom Bystol plans to offer complimentary valet services to his restaurant guests and to anyone else going to the downtown area. The restaurant is expected to open in late June or July.

According to the news report, the Grayslake Village Board created a new valet license at its Tuesday night meeting after Bystol expressed interest in offering the parking service for downtown guests.

Bystol knows a thing or two about parking hassles since as he also owns First Draft in Chicago. According to the Daily Herald, Bystol said it was important to him that the valet service is available to anyone.

"I'm all about promoting downtown Grayslake," he said, according to the news report. "The better the other businesses are doing, the better we will do. No one is coming downtown if there is just one place to go."

Under Bystol's valet plan, drivers will pull up to one of three parking spaces in front of the restaurant at 250 Center Street, and a valet will park the car in one of the nearby free lots, according to the Daily Herald. The new restaurant will include a full menu of items made from fresh ingredients, 60 beers on draft, and two outdoor dining spaces, including a rooftop deck, according to the Daily Herald.
