LAKE COUNTY, IL — A flood warning remains in effect for the Des Plaines River in Lake and Cook counties.

Weather officials said the flood warning is in effect for the Des Plaines River in Lincolnshire, near Des Plaines, near Russell and near Gurnee. Minor flooding is in the forecast, and a flood warning means water levels that are above flood stage are imminent or may already be occurring, according to the National Weather Service.
