Florida Man Charged In Road Rage Shooting On I-94 In Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 34-year-old Florida man faces a weapons charges following a road rage incident reported along Interstate 94 in Gurnee earlier this month.

Robertas Nenadovic-Jasinskas, of Clearwater, Florida, is charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, which is a Class 4 felony, following the incident on May 16, authorities said.

The Illinois State Police responded to the reported expressway shooting at about 11:05 p.m. on May 16 on Interstate 94 northbound near Grand Avenue in Gurnee, according to a news release from Illinois State Police.

Nenadovic-Jasinskas was driving a tractor-trailer when he reportedly fired a gun at the victim's vehicle. The vehicle was not hit by the bullet, and no one was injured, police said.

Detectives identified Nenadovic-Jasinskasas the suspect, and he was arrested on May 17 by police in Burlington, Wisconsin, according to the news release.

Nenadovic-Jasinskasis being held at a jail in Racine County, Wisconsin, pending an extradition hearing.
