Grayslake North Lacrosse Bests Lake Zurich

The Knights started fast vs. Lake Zurich for the win on Thursday night.

North opened a halftime lead of 8-2 and didn’t look back for the 13-5 final score. The Knights had 7 different goal scorers on the night, with AJ Fish leading the way with 4 goals and 3 assists. Jack Mattea, Alex Fletcher, and David Collins each had 2 goals, and Brendan Walker, Freddie Williams and Spencer Davis added 1 apiece. Brendan Walker added 3 assists as well.

Eric York was tremendous in goal with 10 quality saves. Ben Smith, Ian Pearce, Shane Pech, Kevin Carter and Jake Lamb were steady all night long on the defensive side of the ball. Brandon Bong was solid in the face-off circle as well.

Next up for Grayslake is Waubonsie Valley on Saturday at home at noon.
