Grayslake North Lacrosse Improves to 13-4 on the Season

The Knights defeated Lake Forest on Monday.

The Knights from Grayslake North won their 10th straight game with a 15-10 win over visiting Lake Forest.

Trailing 9-6 heading into the final quarter, Grayslake outscored the Scouts 9-1 over the final 12 minutes for the victory.

Ben Smith scored his first goal, and it was a big one to propel North to the win. Other scorers for the Knights were Brendan Walker, Farhan Khan and AJ Fish each with 4 goals. Ben Smith, Freddie Williams and Jack Mattea also found the back of the net. Fish also dished out 3 assists, as did Mattea. Eric York rebounded for a tough second half and active Long Poles Ian Pearce, Jake Lamb and Shane Pech held Lake Forest to 2 goals in the second half.

Lake Forest was led by Joe Kurshner with 4 goals and Freshman Matthew Clifford with 3.

Next up is a home game for Grayslake North vs. Deerfield Wednesday night.
