CHICAGO, IL — A Grayslake woman known as the "serial stowaway" admitted Tuesday to sneaking past security at O'Hare International Airport in January 2018, before boarding a plane and flying without a ticket to London's Heathrow Airport, according to The Chicago Tribune. Marilyn Hartman was sentenced to 18 months' probation Tuesday after taking a plea deal on a felony trespassing charge stemming from last year's incident.

Hartman was told by Cook County Judge Peggy Chiampas she must continue her mental health treatment and stay away from both O’Hare or Midway airports unless she has a ticket. The woman faced other charges, but those were dropped as part of the plea deal, the Tribune said.

Patch reported last year Hartman was determined mentally fit to stand trial in July, four months after she was deemed unfit following mental health evaluations by two psychologists, due to reportedly understanding the charges against her, but had delusions and was focused on getting attention from the media.
