Grayslake Weekend: Memorial Day Parade, Farmers Market and More

Are you looking for something to do in Grayslake this weekend?

We've put together a list of some events taking place in and around town that you can check out.

Farmers Market

The final Grayslake Farmers Market spring market will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 25. The summer market will be held on Wednesdays starting June 5.

Bike Blessing

United Protestant Church, 54 S. Whitney St. in Grayslake, will hold a Blessing of the Bikes (motorcycles) event at 10 a.m. May 25. After the blessing, those interested can go on a 30- to 45-minute ride around Lake County.

Memorial Day

The village of Grayslake will hold its Memorial Day Parade and Service on May 27.

The parade will start in the Hillside Avenue parking lot across from Grayslake Central High School at 9:30 a.m. and then travel south on Lake Street to Junior, then east on Junior to Memorial Park.

The service will be held in Memorial Park immediately following the parade. The keynote speaker will be retired United States Army Sgt. Ronald Runkle.
