Gurnee Man Employed By Village Of Glencoe Arrested On Warrant For Accusations He Enticed Child

A Gurnee man working for the Village of Glencoe has been arrested, authorities said.

A Gurnee man working for the Village of Glencoe has been arrested after officials say a warrant was issued for his arrest for enticing a minor for indecent purposes.

The Glencoe Public Safety Department said they received notification Friday morning from the Roswell, Georgia Police Department regarding an outstanding warrant for one of the village’s employees.

The warrant charged Gregory S. Dittburner, 34, of Gurnee, with enticement of a minor for indecent purposes.

Dittburner, who is a Glencoe Public Works Department employee, was taken into custody by Glencoe officers.

Dittburner was transported for an extradition hearing Saturday at the Fourth Municipal Courthouse in Maywood.

Village officials said Dittburner has been employed as a Maintenance Equipment Operator in the Public Works Department since 2021.

His responsibilities include maintenance and upkeep of various village infrastructure and systems. He has limited interactions with the public.

Village officials said there have been no claims of wrongdoing yet in Illinois related to the warrant but he has been placed on paid administrative leave pending further internal investigation.
