Gurnee Woman, 20, Taken To Hospital After Car Crash

Gurnee police said the crash involving two cars took place Wednesday in the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Gages Lake Road.

GURNEE, IL — A Gurnee woman was taken to the hospital after a car accident Wednesday in the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Gages Lake Road. According to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department, officers were called to the intersection at 10:40 a.m. for a crash involving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and a 2017 Honda Civic. While the crash is still being investigated, early investigation shows a 20-year-old Gurnee woman was driving the Chevrolet westbound on Gages Lake Road, and as it entered the intersection at Hunt Club Road, hit the Honda traveling northbound on Hunt Club Road, according to the news release.

The driver of the Honda, a 32-year-old man from Gurnee, had minor injuries from the accident, and was checked and released at the crash site by members of the Gurnee Fire Department.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries, however her current status isn't known at this time, according to police.

The drivers were the only people in their cars at the time of the crash, according to the news release.
