Human Trafficking Candlelight Vigil Held In Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, IL β€”A Safe Place and the College of Lake County will come together to host a Human Trafficking Candle Lighting Vigil next week.

The vigil will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the College of Lake County, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. The event is meant to shed light on the issue of human trafficking, raise awareness, and stand in solidarity with survivors.

"A Safe Place," an organization committed to supporting victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, collaborates with the College of Lake County to create a space where the community can unite in the fight against human trafficking. This candle lighting vigil serves as a symbol of hope, remembrance, and advocacy, according to a Facebook post regarding the event.
