It's almost time for kids to head back to school. To prepare for the upcoming school year, we've compiled a list of important dates for 2016-2017 calendar year:

  • First Day of School Grades 1-8 - Aug. 24
  • Kindergarten First Day of School - Aug. 25
  • Legal Holiday - Labor Day - Sept. 5
  • Teacher Institute Day - No School - Sept. 23
  • No Student Attendance - Oct. 7
  • Columbus Day - Oct. 10
  • Teacher Institute Day - No School - Oct. 21
  • Thanksgiving Break - Nov. 23-25
  • Winter Break Begins - Dec. 19
  • Classes Resume - Jan. 3
  • MLK Day - Jan. 16
  • No Student Attendance - Feb. 17
  • President's Day - Feb. 20
  • Spring Break Begins - March 27
  • School Resumes - April 3
  • School Closed - April 14
  • Memorial Day - May 29
  • Earliest possible day for school to close - June 6
  • Last possible day for school to close - June 13
