Jimano's Pizzeria To Donate Proceeds Thursday To Round Lake Family Who Lost Father, 5-Year-Old In Crash

Jimanoβs Pizzeria said they will donate proceeds from sales Thursday evening to the Round Lake family whose father and 5-year-old child died in a vehicle crash.
βOne of our schools families, the Camarena family, suffered a terrible car accident. Tragically Mr. Camarena, and their 5 year old son have passed away,β Jimanoβs Pizzeria said in a flyer.

βTo help with the funeral expenses and in support of the entire family, we are holding a fundraiser and coming together as a community to support one of our own Big Hollow Warriors families,β the company said.
The pizzeria chain said they would donate 20% of sales made from 4-8 p.m. Thursday to the family.

Participating locations include their Mundelein, Round Lake Beach and McHenry restaurants.
The crash happened on January 25 at Route 83 and Lexington Drive in Round Lake Beach.
Round Lake Beach Deputy Police Chief Wayne Wilde said officers arrived to find a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox and 2012 Chevrolet Silverado involved in the intersection. Both vehicles had heavy damage.
Epifanio Camarena, 41, of Round Lake, was killed and six others, including the driver of the Silverado, were injured in the crash. Camarena was driving the Equinox.
Camarenaβs wife and children were among those hospitalized. The 5-year-old son was in critical condition, a GoFundMe said.
Wilde said the 5-year-old died on Monday at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Childrenβs Hospital of Chicago.
The child was identified as Jesus Camarena, of Round Lake, according to the Cook County Medical Examinerβs Office.
Epifanio Camarenaβs 44-year-old wife was recently released from Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
The 10-year-old child and the 12-year-old child were both treated at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Childrenβs Hospital of Chicago and released, Wilde said.
The 14-year-old child was released from the hospital on the night of the crash.
The 40-year-old man driving the Silverado has also been released from Advocate Condell Medical Center.
Wilde said no charges have been filed against anyone involved in the crash at this time.
Over 700 donors raised more than $38,000 for the Camarena family through a GoFundMe account.
The crash remains under investigation by the Round Lake Beach Police Department, Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) of Lake County and the Lake County Coronerβs Office.
