Lake County Sheriff K9 Boomer Helps Find Man Who Left Crash Site

The man was located after K9 Boomer tracked his scent for a quarter-mile, the Lake County Sheriff's office said.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — Lake County Sheriff's office K9 Boomer helped a local police department find a man who left the scene of a traffic crash Friday. According to the sheriff's office, the local department (who isn't being named) asked for K9 Boomer's help looking for the man. When Boomer arrived, he tracked the man's scent for a quarter-mile to where the man was found hiding under farm equipment, according to the sheriff's office.

The man was arrested and turned over to the police department.
