Man Dragged By Vehicle In Gurnee Found Dead In Street: Police
The man was found dead at Dorchester Avenue and Estes Street at about 3:40 a.m. Monday, police said.
GURNEE, IL — A man died after it appears he was dragged by a vehicle in Gurnee early Monday, authorities said.
The Gurnee Police Department responded to the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Estes Street at about 3:40 a.m. and found an unresponsive man lying in the street, according to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department.
An investigation into the incident showed the man lived in the 3800 block of Dorchester Avenue and was last seen by his wife around 3 a.m. At that time, he told his wife he was going outside to smoke.

Police say it appears the man, who was reported dead at the scene, had been dragged by a vehicle. Police are working to gather information and evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the man's death, which they are referring to as a "tragic incident," according to the news release.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to provide it to police.
