Man Hospitalized After Fall From Ladder At Starbucks: Authorities

ANTIOCH, IL — A man was injured when he fell from a ladder while at a construction site at Starbucks, 560 East Route 173 in Antioch, on Monday morning, authorities said.

The incident happened at about 9 a.m. Monday, Jim Moran, spokesman for the village of Antioch, told Patch.

When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found the man lying on the ground after falling more than 15 feet, according to a news release from the Antioch Fire Department.

The man was conscious and alert when emergency personnel arrived at the scene to assist, Moran said.

He was taken to the emergency room at Condell Medical Center for further treatment. His current condition was not known, according to fire department news release.

The events surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the Antioch Police Department.
