May Chemical Waste Collection Events Canceled Amid Coronavirus
SWALCO also said the May cancellations include their Public Drop Off events scheduled May 9 and May 26 in Gurnee.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) announced Monday that due to the coronavirus, their Household Chemical Waste Collection events scheduled during May are canceled. In a news release, the agency said this includes their Public Drop Off events scheduled May 9 and May 26 in Gurnee.
"Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we continue to take proactive measures to protect the health and well-being of our staff, vendors and neighbors as we remain committed to serving the community," SWALCO said, in the news release.
