Man Found Dead In Ditch In Antioch: Police

ANTIOCH, IL — Authorities in Antioch are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch Wednesday morning, police said.

The Antioch Police Department responded to the incident and found the man lying in the brush near the area of Deep Lake Road and Route 173 at about 6 a.m., with a motorcycle about 40 feet away, according to a news release from the police department. Police say the motorcycle appears to have sustained sort of mechanical failure prior to crashing.

The Lake County Coroner's Office responded to the area and did not find any outward signs of foul play, according to a news release. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

The incident remains under investigation.
