One Person Dead, 2 Injured In Round Lake Park House Fire: Police
According to the Round Lake Park Police Department, the cause of the fire is still unknown.
ROUND LAKE PARK, IL — One person is dead and two people were treated for injuries following a fire that broke out just before midnight Thursday at a home in the 2500 block of Lippizan Lane in Round Lake Park, according to the Round Lake Park Police Department. Police said a 68-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his 69-year-old wife was taken to Condell Hospital in Libertyville where she was treated for smoke inhalation. Round Lake Police and Grayslake Fire crews responded to the scene around 11:55 p.m. after neighbors reported seeing smoke and called the fire department, police said.
A neighbor who entered the house was also treated for smoke inhalation and released from the hospital, according to police.
The coroners office will be scheduling an autopsy to determine the exact cause of the older man's death, police said.

As of Friday morning, police said the cause of the fire is unknown, and the State Fire Marshall and local authorities are investigating. However, police added that a preliminary investigation indicates the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious.
