Melendez-Ortiz left the residence on foot where he was seen wearing a white sweater. No other clothing description was available.
Melendez-Ortiz is described as a male Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-6 and weighs 200 pounds.
Barden would not say why detectives consider the man to be endangered. He said that the case is still active and being investigated.
