'Rock The Bald' Event Held This Weekend At Hawthorn Center

The event will run from 12 to 2 p.m. on March 26 at Center Park at the Vernon Hills mall.

VERNON HILLS, IL — Hawthorn Center in Vernon Hills will host its "Rock the Bald" event this weekend. The fun-filled day is meant to rise money to help find a cure for childhood cancer and includes a St. Baldrick's head-shaving event.

During the event, which will run from 12 to 2 p.m. on March 26 on the lower level in Center Park, guests will be invited to shave their head, volunteer or donate, according to a news release. There will also be face painting, balloon art and raffles.

One lucky "shavee" will receive a $500 shopping spree at Hawthorn Mall, according to a news release.
