Several Lake County Students Named GeoBee State Competitors
These students from schools in Lake County will show off their world knowledge as state qualifiers in the GeoBee competition March 29.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — Four students from schools across the following Lake County Patches will be competing for college scholarships and the chance to be crowned the 2019 National Geographic GeoBee Champion. The county's largest representation comes from Grayslake-area students.

The National Geographic GeoBee is an annual academic competition designed to inspire and reward students' curiosity about the world. Students in grades four through eight from about 10,000 schools in the United States will compete this year for the national title
