Thomas C. Glowinski was Vietnam Veteran, Avid White Sox Fan

Services have been scheduled for Thomas C. Glowinski.

Thomas C. Glowinski, a 70-year-old Round Lake resident, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Highland Park Hospital.

He was born in Chicago on May 29, 1943 to the now late Louis and Helen {nee Petroff} Glowinski. Tom was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, loved to golf, and was an automobile enthusiast. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War, enlisting in the Marine Corps in December of 1961, and returning home after four tours in 1966.

Tom was the beloved husband of 49 years to Patricia {nee Rylko}, whom he wed on May 9, 1964 in Chicago; the loving father of Pamela (Mark) Muncy, Jason (Kelly) Glowinski, and Amanda (Adam) Gage; cherished grandfather of Courtney, Devin, Ashley, Tyler, Evan, and Samuel; doting master of his dear Munchie. Tom was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Samantha and Emilie.

Friends of the family may join them for memorial visitation on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 from 5-7 p.m., with the memorial service commencing at 7 p.m. at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL.
