Tulip Festival Brings 900,000 Blooms To Chicago Area
It's tulip time at Richardson Farm.

SPRING GROVE, IL — It’s tulip time in Spring Grove, where Richardson Farm’s annual Tulip Festival is in bloom.
The festival started Thursday and will continue as long as the tulips are showing their spring colors, likely at least through May 7, according to the farm.
The event includes 300,000 bulbs of 40 different varieties planted for this season plus an additional 600,000 bulbs from the past two years, all in colorful blocks. The tulips are near the farm’s 36-acre lake. The farm also includes a gift shop, weekend live music, food, wine tasting and other activities.

The festival runs 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily, except Monday, when it is closed. Fees range from $16 to $19 but children 3 and under are free. Each visitor is allowed to pick one tulip and can pay extra for more.
