(VIDEO) Barbecue Restaurant Opens in Mundelein
Owner Quinton Beal and village officials hope to revive the struggling Hawley Lake Plaza.

In and Out BBQ is bringing slow-cooked delicacies to Mundelein’s Hawley Lake Plaza. The takeout-only restaurant, located at 428 N. Lake St., had a soft opening on July 1 and is expected to celebrate an official grand opening next month.
Owner Quinton Beal is hopeful and excited to be a part of the plaza’s current renovation, the Daily Herald reports.
"I came to Mundelein and I just saw a vision of this place," Beal said in the story. "Who doesn't want to be part of the growth of Mundelein?"

Property owner TH Commercial Services will be reimbursed up to $750,000 to renovate the building and parking lot after reaching a tax-sharing agreement with Mundelein officials last year, according to the Daily Herald.
The new location replaced Hong Kong Chop Suey, who moved out in 2012. In and Out BBQ’s dishes include St. Louis-style ribs, pulled pork, brisket, the In and Out Bowl (mac and cheese, pulled pork, jalapenos, house bbq sauce) and desserts such as pecan pie and peach cobbler bars. Hot-ticket items to look forward to for their grand opening: pulled chicken, hot links, jerk chicken, smoked wings, nachos and much more. Need we say more?
