• Robert Bugger 1959-2025 (threeriverspublishing.com) — Highland connections run throughout the life of Robert Lee Bugger, who was born and married in Highland and leaves several relatives still living here. The 66-year-old Bland, Missouri resident passed away Dec. 2 in Columbia, and his body was cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with arrangements by Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
   

• Marilyn Fohne (riverbender.com) — Highland natives may remember Marilyn A. Fohne, who was born here in 1959 and later made her home in Smithton. The 66-year-old, known for her warmth and love of animals, died Dec. 4. Her family plans a celebration of life at a later date and suggests memorial donations to the Belleville Area Humane Society.
