HPHS seniors celebrate graduation tonight.

Seniors at graduate today and celebrate tonight. The graduates will head to Enchanted Castle in Lombard, arriving at around midnight for mini-golf, laser tag, video games and other activities they still aren't too old for. They'll head to after for a bonfire, a DJ set and breakfast. The event ends at 5 a.m., and the rest of their lives begin shortly after.

The Transportation Commission hosts a meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight to discuss ways to reduce traffic on Central Avenue, east of Green Bay Road. The agenda for the meeting doesn't mention the recent incident that occured at Central and Avenue Second Street , but there's a chance it could come up. If you live or are a merchant in the Central Business District, you're invited to listen or give your suggestions.

At Monday's City Council meeting, said that she and the council would before discussing what to do with it at the June 27 Committee of the Whole meeting. She added that the seventh member of the council would be announced at that date as well.

The Downtown Highland Park Alliance announced Tuesday that its hosting the first ever Highland Park Garden Festival this summer. The festival begins with a kickoff event on June 11 at 11 a.m. that features free, family-friendly demonstrations and workshops.

Want to see less cars in Highland Park? The City's Community Development and Public Works departments are gathering public input for a Non-Motorized Transportation Plan "that will focus on reducing automobile congestion, cutting greenhouse gas emissions and promoting alternative transportation for everyday activities."
