Highland Park Man Faces Aggravated Battery Charge: Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

SHOPLIFTING
A trio of thieves stole an unspecified amount of fragrances from the Ulta Beauty store at 135 Skokie Valley Road prior to 3:30 p.m. June 2. Police said the three shoplifters were described as: a tall, thin woman or girl wearing purple pants and a white jacket with her hair in a bun, a women or girl with an afro wearing a blue t-shit with a cartoon character on the front and a heavyset man or boy wearing a white tank top, black shorts and a baseball hat.

BICYCLE THEFT
Four thieves stole three used bicycles from the Trek store at 1925 Skokie Valley Road shortly after 11 a.m. on June 4. They included a black $200 Coaster Condo, a pink $280 Girls 12 Famingo and a pink $180 20 Coaster. One of the bikes was on display outside, and two others were offered for sale inside. Two thieves left out of the employee's entrance with two of the bikes, while the other two left in a silver or gray Chevrolet Equinox. The thieves were described as a woman or girl wearing white shoes, black Nike sweat pants and a black shirt, a thin woman or girl wearing a blue denim jacket, tan pants, white shoes, a white hat and a medical mask, a thin man or boy wearing black hoes, black sweat pants, a gray and white zip-up, a blue and white hate and a medical mask, as well as another man or boy wearing white shoes, a blue sweater with the letters, "RL" on it and a medical mask.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Jordan A. Wexler, 40, of the 1600 block of Huntington Lane, Highland Park, was arrested around 2 p.m. on June 1 and charged with aggravated battery to a pregnant or disabled person, a felony, and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery after officers were called to his house for a report of a physical disturbance there.
