HPHS Musicians Perform in Italy

The Highland Park High School Wind Symphony spent spring break in Milan.

About 70  students spent their spring break touring and performing in Italy.

After accepting an invitation extended by an Italian Parliament member from the Piemonte region and an official from the Sacrofano region, Highland Park High School's Wind Symphony participated in a spring music festival in Milan. The young musicians also performed in local cultural programs and concerts with school and community musicians, including performances with the Complesso Bandistico di Costigliole d'Asti, the Italian Army Band at Sacrofano, the Sacrofano Wind Band and the Sacrofano Community Musicians Orchestra.

The students return to the U.S. Saturday.
