Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
Sheri has been creating & teaching various weekly kids' art/art history classes for all ages of children from 18 mos.+ since the very start of the pandemic. She travels from house to house and is literally one of the most magical humans, let alone teachers, that exist. keeping art in kids lives & connecting with children on their own level, while quietly instilling a solid foundation of art history knowledge all the while. She is an invaluable gem & incredible asset to our community's countless art-loving kids!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
She used to be the art teacher at Braeside School for many years, but started providing in-home classes for small-med size groups of kids since the very beginning of the pandemic in early 2020. Since that time she has been coming to my house weekly for various classes for each of my 3 kids, and she has NEVER MISSED A WEEK! (Please keep in mind she is in her mid-late 70's and has the cheerful positive energy & enthusiasm of someone half her age!)
