Featured Obituary:

Phyllis Rosen, beloved wife of the late Jack Rosen for 79 years, who fondly called her "Babe," mother, grandmother, great grandmother, confidant to family and friends, mentor, and stylish dresser, passed away peacefully at her home on May 28, 2022. She was born and raised in Chicago. She had an amazing memory for the names of all those she met, recalling and acknowledging those who crossed her path from grammar school to the present. Rarely did she go out in public without recognizing a past acquaintance. Although her family undeniably came first, she had many interests that included her talents in calligraphy, art, cooking, interior decorating, charitable causes, canasta, and bridge. She presented herself impeccably at all times, with color-coordinated outfits and sunglasses to match.

In her younger years, she worked in retail, and then as the bookkeeper for her father's fur business. Once married to Jack, she spent her time at home, raising her three children on Gregory Street, which became a center for the family events of her children and their friends. Phyllis never missed a family gathering, birthday, holiday, or BRYNO with her children and grandchildren. She would frequent her home in Rancho Mirage, California and welcome all of her family, near and far, to stay in her home. Phyllis had a keen ability to listen, give advice, and, no matter what, make sure you knew she loved you.
