Over $5K Of Gutters Stolen From House: Blotter
Arrests made by Highland Park police include retail theft and possession of a controlled substance.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
On Tuesday, Nov. 27, soon before 9 a.m., a resident of the 3300 block of Western Avenue reported items valued at $300 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

On Saturday, Dec. 1, around 12:45 p.m., a complainant in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road reported her vehicle's rear window was smashed and $3,900 worth of items were taken.

On Friday, Nov. 30, around 12:30 p.m., a complainant in the 1400 block of Waverly Road reported $5,500 worth of gutters from a house undergoing construction had been stolen.
ARRESTS
Possession of Controlled Substance
On Saturday, Dec. 1, around 5:45 a.m., police pulled over Antoine Williams, 33, of North Chicago, for driving without lights when required. He was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving without lights when required. He was placed in custody pending bond court.
Retail Theft
On Friday, Nov. 30, around 11:15 a.m., police arrested Alexandra Ivanov, 30, of Northbrook, after responding to a retail theft complaint in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. Ivanov was relesaed on a recognizance bond.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, police arrested Bozena Swaitkowski, 67, of Highland Park, on a retail theft charge in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road. Swaitkowski was released on a personal recognizance bond.
