Police Blotter: Battery; Drug Paraphernalia Seized

The following items are provided by the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Battery

Police are investigating a battery that occurred in the 600 block of Laurel, Highland Park. No other details were available.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Molly J. Ori, 19, of the 600 block of Park Avenue West in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with underage consumption of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on bond and given a court date of July 7.

Driving under the influence

Ivan Valencia, 19, of the 800 block of Deerfield Road in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, speeding and unlawful possession of cannabis. He was taken into custody after police stopped his vehicle in the 1100 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park.  He was released on bond, and has a court date of July 1.

Leslie K. Carani, 51, of the 800 block of Oakwood Avenue in Lake Forest, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was found to have a blood alcohol content level of more than .08 after police stopped her vehicle in the 1400 block of Park Avenue West, Highland Park.  She was released on bond, and has a court date of July 8.

Driving while license suspended

Arron L. Ball, 24, of the 700 block of East Knight Avenue in Park City, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding after his vehicle was stopped by the police in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. He was released on bond, and has a court date of July 27.

Driving while license revoked

Carly Lane Stickles, 25, of the 1100 block of Wade Street in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked after her vehicle was involved in an accident in the 400 block of Beech Street, Highland Park.  She was released on bond, and has a court date of July 27.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Police are investigating a delayed report of an auto burglary in which a purse and wallet were stolen while the vehicle was parked in Highland Park.

Police are investigating a delayed report of an auto burglary. Sunglasses, electronics and personal items were taken from the vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Linden Avenue.
