Port Clinton Art Festival Kicks Off This Weekend

The 29-year-old festival will bring 250,000 art enthusiasts to Highland Park beginning Saturday. And don't forget the Taste of Highland Park, which kicks off Friday.

Get ready for a lot of walking, eating and art-admiring this weekend, as the Taste of Highland Park and  make their return to the city's downtown.

Now in its 29th year, the Port Clinton Art Festival kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m., bringing with it more than 260 internationally celebrated artists. Available artwork includes ceramics, drawings, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, photography and wood. The festival is free and takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

But before the art shopping begins, there will be eating. The kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. and will run alongside the Art Festival through the weekend. Check out dishes from Highland Park hot spots:

Plus, the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce will have a tent for beer and wine.

Music will be performed on Friday by rock & roll tribute to the sixties from New Invaders at 6 p.m. and a high-energy, funky finale by The Afrodisiacs at 8 p.m.
