Time and again violin soloist Gil Shaham into a full exuberance of music during Tchaikovsky's violin concerto today at Ravinia.
Led by Music Director James Conlon, the orchestra took its lead from Shaham's gentle strains becoming slightly more intense as the full symphony broke into the full excitement of the piece.
As the concerto moved to its conclusion, both Shaham and the orchestra combined their intensity to arrive together.
