'A Test Of Tastebuds & Endurance': Inferno Fest Returns To North Shore
As the weather heats up in the North Shore, so will taste buds at the annual Inferno Fest in Highwood.

HIGHWOOD, IL — Can you handle the heat? Test your tase buds and endurance at this year's Inferno Fest in Chicago's North Shore on June 25.
Showcasing a selection of the spiciest foods and beverages, Inferno Fest will feature twists on traditional American, Italian and Mexican dishes as well as spicy sweets and creative cocktails. The food will be paired with a live performance from Wall of Denial, Chicago's premier Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band.
For adults 18 and older, the Inferno Fest Eating Contest will have participants see how many La Casa de Isaac "hot taquitos," without bowing out. Whoever is left standing at the end will walk away with a $100 gift card.

“Inferno Fest will be a test of taste buds and endurance for all those who dare to try all the hot and spicy food and drinks,” says Jessica Ortega, President of Celebrate Highwood. “Thankfully, Kefir Kids will be on hand to rescue sweltering mouths with Kefir non-dairy smoothies to cool down their palates after the competition.”
