Trick Or Treat: 2021 Halloween Forecast For Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Before the town’s cutest witches and goblins take to Highland Park streets in search of Halloween’s sweetest bounty, it’s a good idea for parents to check out what Mother Nature has in store for our community’s annual trick-or-treating festivities.

Trick-or-treating in Highland Park is planned Sunday between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Considering the event is just days away, there’s a good chance we might luck out when it comes to the weather.

As you head out on Sunday evening, expect partly cloudy skies with just a 10 percent chance of rain.

Before the big day, a little rain is in the forecast for Thursday. For Tuesday and Wednesday, expect somewhat cloudy skies.

Oct. 28: Festivities at Port Clinton Square
Kick off a fun Halloween weekend with trick-or-treating in Port Clinton Square on Thursday, Oct. 28, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Enjoy live music and a free store-to-store candy stroll! Special thanks to all the participating businesses and Port Clinton Management for coordinating this event.

Oct. 29: Ravinia District Candy Stroll
The Ravinia Business District's Halloween Candy Stroll will be held on Friday, Oct. 29 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. The stroll will feature four interactive Harvest Vignettes for visitors to sit and take selfies to post on social media, located at the northeast corner of Broadview and Roger Williams, southeast corner of Pleasant and Roger Williams, on Roger Williams just west of Happi Sushi, and the southeast corner of St. Johns and Roger Williams. Special thanks to all the participating businesses and the Ravinia District Special Service Area 17 property owners for coordinating this event.

Oct. 31: Trick-or-Treating Hours
Trick-or-treating will take place on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, between the hours of 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Please review these guidelines to help promote a safe experience for all who choose to participate.
