Another Hinsdale Business Wants to Serve Alcohol
Village officials seemed agreeable to the idea. The business would need a license.
HINSDALE, IL – The owner of a downtown Hinsdale store gauged the interest of village officials last week about whether he would be allowed to offer alcohol at his store.
Rino Burdi, owner of Burdi Clothing, spoke during last week's Village Board meeting. He said he wanted to serve customers a glass of wine or champagne while they shop.
He said he was aware of other businesses making similar requests.

Officials seemed agreeable to the idea.
"I don't know that it's any different from what we have done in the past," Village President Tom Cauley said. "We have certain rules, and obviously, you know what those rules are. I don't see any problem with it."

Burdi Clothing is a high-end men's clothing store. It would need to get a license to offer alcohol.
Last year, men's clothing retailer Frederick Lynn Haberdasshere asked the village whether it could serve alcohol once it opened in town. Officials generally favored the idea.
The store has yet to open.
