Cauley Seeks Re-Election As Hinsdale Leader
The village president has held the office since 2009.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale Village President Tom Cauley is seeking a fourth term for the office he has held since 2009.
As of noon, Cauley was the only candidate who has filed for village president in the April 6 election. Candidates have until Friday to submit their petitions, according to the village clerk.
Incumbent trustees Neale Byrnes and Matt Posthuma have filed for re-election. Gerald Hughes, the other incumbent whose seat is up for election, had not filed as of noon.

Michelle Fisher, a member of Hinsdale's Plan Commission, also has filed for trustee.
Cauley defeated two candidates in the 2009 election and ran unopposed in 2013. In 2017, he edged ahead of opponent Laura LaPlaca with 52 percent of the vote.
