At Monday's Village Board meeting, Sparrow Coffee's architect, Michael Abraham of Clarendon Hills, is set to present the plan for renovations.

The business is also expected to request a subsidy from the village. The money would come from a tax increment financing district, where growth in property tax income is re-invested in the district.

Last month, the Village Board took a preliminary vote for giving Little Creperie $62,555 for its project for building improvements at 95 Park Ave. A final vote is expected Monday, with the amount increasing to $83,000.

At last month's meeting, one of the board's trustees questioned whether the village should give such subsidies, saying such money lets landlords off the hook.
