Hinsdale Central Athletic Overhaul Bidder Recommended
Two firms submitted proposals for a more than $6 million renovation of the athletic facility.

HINSDALE, IL – A panel has recommended a company to design and renovate the athletic facility at Hinsdale Central High School.
Two companies, along with their architectural partners, submitted proposals for the project. They were All Construction Group with JP Architects and F.H. Paschen with Arcon Associates.
A committee made up of Hinsdale High School District 86 officials and residents recommended All Construction, which submitted an estimated construction budget of $6.3 million, according to a district memo.

At 5 p.m. Monday, the school board's finance committee plans to review the recommendation at the district's central office.
Officials say the district is expected to cover design costs, while a local group plans to raise the rest. The fundraising effort includes a search for a naming-rights donor, according to the district.
The facility, called the Bouchard Center, is named after the Bouchard family, who made a $250,000 donation to it, the Hinsdalean newspaper reported last year. The publication said brothers Jim and Craig Bouchard went to Central in the 1970s.
The project would feature an expanded athletic training facility, a larger weight-training area and the addition of restrooms, says the local group pushing the overhaul.
The group has created a website called "Bouchard Center Transformation."
The school board discussed the project in September.
