Hinsdale D86 Names New Principal of Hinsdale Central High School

Hinsdale, IL - Monday evening, the Hinsdale Township High School District 86 Board of Education approved the appointment of William Walsh as the Principal of Hinsdale Central High School effective July 1.
Walsh currently serves as the assistant principal for operations at Central, a position he has held since 2010.

“For the last 17 years, I have made Hinsdale Central my home,” Walsh said. “As a teacher, coach, technology instructor, dean of students and assistant principal, I consider the Hinsdale Central students, staff, parents and community as family. The opportunity to lead Hinsdale Central from the office of principal is the highest compliment the community can offer and I am humbled by the confidence entrusted in me. I look forward to continuing to work with faculty, staff and administrators at this great school, now as principal. Hinsdale Central is a special place where we are always looking to improve in every area, and I am excited to lead those efforts.”

Walsh began his career at Indian Prairie District 204 in Aurora as a business education teacher. At Hinsdale Central since 1999, Walsh has held a variety of positions over the past 17 years, including teacher, instructional technology leader and dean of students. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business teacher education from Illinois State University and a Master’s of Science in education technology from National Louis University.
