Hinsdale Family Fall Fest Offers Haunted Church, Costume Contest
On Saturday, the village's biggest event is offering up free pumpkins, downtown trick-or-treating, food trucks, and so much more.
HINSDALE, IL — Halloween has come early to the Western Suburbs: in addition to a large Fall Fest held at the Depot at Wild Meadows Trace in Elmhurst on Saturday, Hinsdale is also hosting a free Fall Festival on Saturday from 11 to 1:30 p.m. at Robbins Park.
The festival will offer free pumpkins for the first 500 kids, pumpkin decorating and craft kits, balloon artists, a costume contest, food trucks from Wally’s Waffles, and, for the first time ever, a haunted house inside Immanuel Hall. Either families or individuals are eligible to participate in the costume contest, and winners will be announced at the end of the festival at 1:30 p.m.
Trick or treating will also take place in the downtown business district from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Participating businesses will place a pumpkin sign in their window from 12 to 3 p.m.
