Hinsdale Police Investigate Hit-and-Run

On Sept. 30, a woman was stopped at a red light on 55th Street. Police say she was in the left-turn lane, about to turn onto Route 83, when her car was rear-ended by a gold-colored van or sport utility vehicle. Both cars made the turn onto Route 83. The victim pulled to the side of the road, and the gold-colored van/SUVcontinued driving.

"She was able to give a good description of the vehicle and a partial plate," said Deputy Chief Mark Wodka. "The driver was a female, white, between 40 and 50 years old, wearing glasses."

There were no injuries reported. Police continue to investigate the incident.
