Hinsdale Police Reports: Child Endangerment, DUI, Identity Theft

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through April 12.

Someone used another person's identity April 4 to establish a line of credit through American Express.

Someone used another person's identity between Jan. 1 and April 8 to file a fraudulent tax return.

Someone's debit card and pin number were used March 18 to deposit fraudulent checks into the account, and later attempted to withdraw the money

Destiny K. Neal, 24 of the 3100 block of Eastern Avenue in Bellwood, was stopped April 7 for improper lane usage at Route 83 at 31st Street. Dorian R. Ford, 24 of the 3100 block of Eastern Avenue in Bellwood was a passenger in the car. Both gave false identification to an officer, according to police, and they both had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Neal was charged with obstructing identification, driving while license suspended and improper lane use. Ford was charged with obstructing identification. They were released to other agencies for the warrants.

Staff at the Hinsdale Library found an unattended 2-year-old child April 11. Staff members tried to find the child’s parent for about 30 minutes. Zheliang Wang, 43 of the 100 block of Woodstock Avenue in Clarendon Hills, was identified as the child's father. He was found in a car parked outside the library, according to police. Wang was charged with child endangerment and released to appear in court.

Claudia B. Linares-Reyes, 29 of the 3000 block of N. Lotus in Chicago, was stopped April 8 for driving without headlights in the 700 block of N. York Road. She was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, police reported, and she refused testing to determine BAC. She was charged and released to appear in court.
